The cottage was originally a fisherman’s cottage. Cri Yr Wylan (cry of the gull) was initially bought by my parents over 36 years ago. After many years of spending time in Clarach Bay firstly in a touring caravan and then buying a static caravan, they loved the bay so much that they couldn’t of been happier when the cottage came onto the market and they were determined to buy it. Upon retirement my parents spent the rest of their lives living happily here.
As a family, with a large lawn and having the sea at the end of the garden we have all spent so many memorable times on the beach from swimming, playing in the rock pools, fishing to jet skiing and I even met and married my husband from meeting him here. My husband and I renovated the property three years ago.
We have been letting it out as an Airbnb due to our own work commitments, hobbies and because our boys now live either abroad or in London and with visiting them, we have not been able to spend any time at the cottage. This has lead us to the very difficult and sad decision to sell the cottage.
There is huge potential to extend the property. To us as a family, it has been wonderful living here but it is now time for another family to cherish it as much as we have.NEGOTIATIONS All interested parties are respectfully requested to negotiate directly with the Selling Agents.MONEY LAUNDERING REGULATIONS On putting forward an offer to purchase you will be required to produce adequate identification to prove your identity within the terms of the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR 2017 came into force 26th June 2017). Appropriate examples: Passport or Photographic Driving Licence and a recent Utility Bill.MORTGAGE SERVICES if you require a Mortgage, (whether buying through Fine and Country West Wales or any other agent), then please get in touch. Should you decide to use the services of a mortgage broker, you should know that we would expect to receive a referral fee of £250.00 from them for recommending you to them.SURVEY DEPARTMENT if you are not buying through Fine and Country West Wales then why not let our qualified surveyors inspect and report on the home you are buying before you complete the purchase.
