Condom is a centre for the production of Armagnac. It has a delightful medieval street, good shops and a weekly market on Wednesdays. Lectoure is a neo-classical hilltop town, with lovely old convents and half timbered houses. The views are breath-taking and on a clear day you can see the Pyrénées. If you miss the Wednesday market in Condom there is one on a Friday in Lectoure where you can pick up cheeses, olives, fresh vegetables and wine.There are 4 international airports in the vicinity. Toulouse is probably the closest (90 kms), but Lourdes, Bergerac and Bordeaux are only a little further.
